To Jerit Abart, being a video producer is about more than just holding a camera and getting the right shot.

Jerit wants to use his gift of storytelling to make a difference in the world, and so far, we think he’s doing an incredible job.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce Jerit as a recipient of the 2019 One Plexus® Award.

Recipients of the One Plexus Award exhibit belief in the Plexus values, partnership with their Plexus peers, and action towards helping and blessing others. In short, they embody Plexus culture and work to make themselves, their teams, and their communities, better.

Jerit’s work has absolutely been used for good, both within Plexus and within his community. He has helped create videos for kids to help them get adopted, and the several hundred videos have helped many kids find their forever homes. (We’re not crying, you’re crying!)

Not only that, but he has used his talents to benefit Plexus as a whole, particularly in his efforts to help with the first Men of Plexus meeting, which highlights the tremendous potential of Plexus to be an opportunity for everyone.

“It’s not about my efforts all by myself,” Jerit says. “It’s about helping other people.”

Now Jerit knows that even though working as a video producer helped him put food on the table for many years, that is not who he is.

“Who I am...is I love people, I want to help people, show them the way, encourage folks. I just want to breathe life into them.”

Jerit’s kindness, generosity, work ethic, and selflessness exude everything we love about the One Plexus family, and we’re proud to present him with this award.
